Client Account Specialist

(Full-time, Remote)

Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Client Account Specialist to join our team. In this essential role, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our services, providing crucial support to our department in delivering exceptional client service and maintaining our commitment to excellence.

In this role, the Client Account Specialist (Unapplied Funds) will be responsible for reviewing unapplied funds application opportunities of new and aged unapplied funds deposits in an effort to facilitate the payment of outstanding invoices or return funds to payor. The Client Account Specialist (Unapplied Funds) will be responsible for all communications with staff and attorneys, and will submit the completed application forms as appropriate. They will also assist the AR Supervisor with various reports and problem-solving scenarios. Although this position is a remote, you would generally need to be available to work during standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the unapplied funds review process in an effort to reduce the amount of unapplied funds being held.
  • Generate daily email communications on newly deposited funds that are categorized as unapplied and follow-up with legal staff to utilize to determine resolution.
  • Manage deadlines & follow up with legal staff to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Utilize Aderant, ARCs and eBilling platforms to submit in daily research and investigation.
  • Proactively make recommendations through using tools such as Expert Image & iManage.
  • Communicate with billing attorneys, billing specialists, & collections team to resolve issues related to unapplied funds.
  • Track lifecycle of unapplied funds research in ARCS collections software to ensure all steps of the unapplied funds process are completed on time.
  • Clear knowledge of the insurance carrier and insured relationship.
  • General understanding of insured matter billing & major carrier guidelines.
  • Ability to problem solve & use resources to resolve complex issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 2 + years experience working in a law firm as an A/R or billing professional.
  • 2 + years experience with A/R success in facilitating payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Excel and ability to create and maintain spreadsheets.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of collections and billing software. Aderant and ARCs preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of eBilling platforms, namely eBilling Hub or BillBlast, & ability to navigate primary vendor websites for major insurance carriers.
  • Knowledge of the firm's business process and business operations.

The hourly rate range for this position is $27.88 -$32.69. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
