Director of HR Technology and Analytics

(Full-time, Remote)

Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Director of HR Technology and Analytics to join our team. This position is a key leader on the Talent team as it pertains to technology, overseeing the design, deployment, and management of the firm’s talent management systems. Partners with the Talent Team, KM, Finance, and IT leadership to define and execute multi-year people technology strategy and roadmap, including system implementations and upgrades.

The individual in this role is a leader as well as hands-on technical expert and will help build and execute a technology roadmap that balances the strategic and operational needs of the Talent and Payroll teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all technical processes related to Talent Team programs including compensation, benefits, payroll, performance management, recruitment, and learning management. Provide guidance on payroll and HR processes, electronic personnel files, and the interface of Paylocity with all Talent systems.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, Payroll, and HR on annual associate and staff performance review system setup and troubleshooting for viEval, viRecruiting, CompAnalyst, and the firm’s intranet. Ensure timely and accurate execution of annual staff and attorney compensation changes and bonus payments.
  • Liaise with IT, KM, and other business teams to ensure alignment of technology standards and roadmaps across functions and to effectively implement and manage Talent team systems. Collaborate to develop and implement a business continuity plan.
  • Lead the planning and deployment of Talent Team system upgrades, including the scheduling of key activities and communicating of system downtime to appropriate parties.
  • Oversee all aspects of people data and analytics including data governance, reporting, and dashboards related to technology within the Talent team. Analyze data and metrics that provide insights to drive strategic decisions and monitor key performance metrics.
  • Responsible for all HR reporting, including Federal and state government reporting. Responsible for client and industry reporting, overseeing the completion of larger industry and DEI surveys.
  • Establish or maintain partnerships with third party vendors for payroll, benefits, performance evaluations and other systems regarding data feeds, service levels, transactions, etc. to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Act in accordance with data security principles and enforce compliance in key areas, including system security, document retention, and Federal and state requirements. Conduct regular audits of electronic personnel files to ensure security and integrity. Manage compliance with the with ACA, EEOC, and CCPA.
  • Engage externally and internally to identify best practices, and develop solutions that drive departmental improvements, and increase quality and efficiency. Research and provide recommendations to leadership on new technologies that could be utilized to improve service effectiveness and the partner/employee experience.
  • Perform special projects and related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 10 years of human resources experience including 7+ years HRIS experience including security and reporting tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management and implementations.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics across different functions of HR and from multiple systems.

The annual rate range for this position is $150,000 - $185,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
